Position Summary: We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team as an Administrative Assistant with legal experience. The ideal candidate for this position is organized; ability to prioritize and perform tasks efficiently, excellent verbal and written communication, effective time management and organizational skills. Assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to a team of lawyers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Provides confidential administrative support to a team of lawyers
  • Perform legal and factual research
  • Perform records research
  • Prepare written reports, cross-check and validate information
  • Organize and track case files
  • Build and maintain databases of files
  • Assist with the request of public records
  • Assist with trial preparation
  • Maintain multiple calendars and schedules
  • Provides follow up with appropriate departments to ensure compliance with agreements, request for information from attorneys, and other related issues
  • May serve as receptionist for multiple attorneys, providing information to callers, visitors and directing them as appropriate
  • Other duties as necessary

Education and/ or Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredComputer Skills

Paraprofessional

Position Summary: To assist in the learning process in assigned areas of study, to perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel and perform related work as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
-Assist instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercise

-Assume responsibility for continued professional growth to fully support educational programming

-Work with students individually or in small groups, as directed by the supervising teacher

-Assist in maintaining the classroom in a functional, attractive and orderly environment (i.e. bulletin board, displays, posters, etc.)

-Assist the teacher in complying with all requirements and objectives in compliance with the state and school board requirements

-Re-enforce behavioral expectations as directed by the classroom teacher

-Escort, Supervise and assist students to various settings throughout the building including but not limited to: cafeteria, recess and general / special classrooms including arrival and dismissal times

-Manage discipline problems in accordance with administrative regulations, school board policies and legal requirements

-Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to students and personnel

-Demonstrate effective organizational skills, time management and flexibility in order to meet staff and students’ needs

-Attend work on a regular basis, arrives to school on time; prepared to assist with the classroom

-Establish a positive rapport with staff, students and families

-Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by principal orprogram coordinator, and /or classroom teacher

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)

Education and/or Experience
-Associate of Applied Science in Paraprofessional Education

-Hold a valid state license issued by Georgia Professional Standards Commission

-Pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
